Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 27 May 2026

In short

If something goes wrong with a lesson you have booked through us, get in touch and we will sort it out. We want you to feel confident booking with us. The detail below explains how cancellations and refunds work for the most common situations.

Trial lessons (1:1 and group)

Trial lessons let you try a tutor before committing. This covers both 1:1 trial lessons and group trial lessons. If you cancel a trial more than 48 hours before it starts we will refund the trial fee in full to your original payment method. Inside 48 hours, or if the student does not attend, the trial fee is non-refundable because the tutor has already set the time aside for your child. Recurring places that follow a trial are covered separately under "Group lessons (recurring places)" below.

1:1 lessons

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a 1:1 lesson. One same-day cancellation due to illness is permitted each term at no charge. Beyond that, late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full because the tutor has already set the time aside.

Group lessons (recurring places)

Group lesson places are billed monthly to hold the seat for your child. You can cancel a recurring place at any time from your parent dashboard, which stops billing at the end of the current month. We do not refund unattended individual sessions inside a paid month because the place is held exclusively for your child.

Lessons cancelled by the tutor or the agency

If a tutor or the agency cancels a confirmed lesson, we will offer to reschedule at no extra cost or refund the lesson in full to your original payment method, whichever you prefer.

Account credits

In some situations we may issue an account credit instead of refunding to your card, for example when a tutor needs to cancel at short notice. Account credits are automatically applied to your next invoice so the amount you owe is reduced by the credit. You will see your available credit balance on your parent dashboard whenever you have one. Credits may expire after a reasonable period if unused; we will email you in advance if a credit is approaching expiry.

How long refunds take

Refunds are issued via Stripe to the same card used at checkout. They normally land back in your account within 5 to 10 working days. We will email a confirmation when the refund is initiated.
